Personally my husband picked out my ring himself, got a great deal and spent about 2-3 thousand. which was less then 3 months of his salary but my ring is FANTASTIC! I have been married almost 5 years and still Enjoy just looking at it- I couldn’t have picked out a better ring myself.
My point is that your future husband should know you well enough to be able to pick out what you would like and what you wouldn’t like. Also, do a lot of research, my friend paid more for their ring and while it was a bigger rock, the quality was so bad, mine was actually worth more.
