I want to meet the author of this book and shake their handI wish I could find the author of this book, shake their hand and yell "THANK YOU!" at the top of my lungs. I'm getting married this fall and I've been looking for months for a scrapbook for my wedding that was in the style of a baby book, and I've had no luck. Either the pictures were bad or there were mushy phrases throughout the book or the book didn't feel sturdy enough or it didn't leave room for expansion... I think you get the picture. Then, out of pure, dumb, luck I found this book.I have to say, this book is ~*everything*~ I could ever want. It's romantic without being schmaltzy, pretty without being overly formal, structured enough to give you ideas of what to add, but not so regimented that it snuffs out all creativity. This is, essentially, like a baby book that sort of documents your relationship, from the "How we met/Our first date/When we knew this was THE ONE" page, right on through to highlights from our first marriage, and finishing with a page...
Great engagement gift
Someone just gave this book to me as an engagement gift and I can't stop looking through it. The best way to describe it is a baby book for your wedding. The illustrations are beautiful and the text is playful without being cheesy. This has so far been the best gift I've received and I plan to give it to others who get engaged!
Excellent General Wedding Book/scrapbook
This book is designed just like a baby book with questions like "how did you meet?", "What was your favorite part of the wedding?" ect... Comes in a simple yet elegant book fun easy and great for people who want this in addition to a picture album or scrapbook or people who are not great scrapbookers like myself.

My boyfriend just proposed to me yesterday and we are interested in throwing an engagement party. How long should you wait before throwing one? Also, we are looking to wait maybe 2 yrs to get married so is it appropriate to go ahead and throw an engagement
the engagement party should be thrown at start of your engagement, so you can do it as soon as you like. i would suggest having it maybe in a months time, but it is entirely up to you.

Private firm sets out hospital plan
Bosses at the first NHS hospital to be taken over by a private provider have set out their vision to turn around its fortunes.
Independent firm Circle will officially start managing the debt-ridden Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Cambridgeshire.
The contract was signed in November following a 13-month procurement period as Circle came up against competition from 19 initial bidders.
A spokesman said staff from Circle and Hinchingbrooke had been working closely to plan for the hospital's future and they have published their plan for its transformation. More than 1,200 of the 1,700-strong workforce attended one of 17 four-hour "partnership sessions" to have an input into the plan. Four priorities have been set: patient safety, patient experience, staff engagement and value for money.
Chief executive Ali Parsa said: "Today an ambitious programme will be unveiled - to turn a hospital once labelled as 'a basket case' into one of the top 10 in the country. Like John Lewis, Circle are employee co-owned, and have a track record of creating best-in-class hospitals by devolving power to the clinicians and staff who are closest to patients. We are confident that we can do it again in Hinchingbrooke."
