Drink This Book.Upon arrival I was a little surprised at the pint size of this gathering of essays, but the contents of its pages hold more than most books many times bigger. Having previously read Paul Metzger I have always enjoyed his insights and found his engagement of contemporary culture with Scripture to be especially timely.If you've never read Metzger before New Wine Tastings is a great place to begin because of the diversity of its samplings. This selection of essays deals with topics ranging from structural evil, disembodied vs. incarnational spirituality, the atonement, and the culture wars among many others.As Metzger explores these topics and more it is through the stories of cultural figures who have shaped how we engage these issues today. Mind opening
I ordered this book not knowing exactly what to expect. I found myself stretched in many good directions, I found myself asking hard question not only of myself but of my peers. I too discovered I am theologically conservative and yet compassionately liberal.Dr. Metzger engages the reader without overwhelming them. The essays are condensed enough to catch a moment, yet deep enough to capture your attention. My copy has now been in the hands of 4 readers. God Bless.

It’s been fantastic business for Palin, who gets paid six figures to show up and spit her patented brand snow billy wisdom. It has not been great, but for her occasional captive audience at various exhibitions, which typically have to endure a speech that has nothing to do with their industry.
