This garter looks exactly the same in person as it does in the picture. It is very pretty and simple with the lace and satin - and the lace gives it kind of a vintage look. Plus it's a great price for the pair - throw one, keep one! I'd recommend it to a friend.

However, today is all about the garter. It may be one of the smallest piece that you will be wearing that day, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the least important. Every aspect of your wedding day is important.
With a few selection at our 5,000 sq ft trimming showroom, you can either create your own DIY garter or we can work with you to create one that is unique to your style. Some garters that are available to Brides today are usually the same as the ones Brides would get over ten years ago. However, trends has changed and that means the garter itself also needs a change. M&J Bridal can make that possible for you. For sample, what we have here today are three samples of a vintage style garter. Listed below are the materials you can use to DIY or like we said earlier, drop by our showroom at 1008 Sixth Ave, NYC, 10018 and we’ll work with you. The wedding: They exchanged vows on May 14, 2011 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Mountain Brook, Sara’s church.
Traditions: Sara wore a new Monique Lhuillier dress from the 2011 Bliss Collection; the veil was made with lace from her mother’s wedding gown, which was made by her mother and grandmother; she placed one of her grandmother’s handkerchiefs in her garter; she borrowed a pearl necklace from her sister-in-law; and blue buttons from her grandmother’s “button” jar were sewn onto the garter.
‘70s flashback: Sam is a prankster. Several months before he and Sara got married, he wore a maroon leisure suit to a wedding reception her parents hosted. He eventually changed. Remembering the fun he had with the leisure suit, he wore it again to the church the day of the wedding. As soon as he arrived, he changed into his tuxedo.
Reception: It was held at the Vestavia Country Club in Vestavia Hills, where Sara’s father and two uncles started a conga line that was the hit of the evening.
