Ok, but wobblesI rarely need a cake plate, so the price of this one was attractive. Unfortunately, the plate surface on mine is not totally flat. As a result, the dome wobbles slightly. This gets very annoying when it is sitting on a table that inevitably gets jostled while people are eating. Also, when the pedestal is inverted for use as a punch bowl, the unevenness of the plate surface (now the base of punch bowl) causes the whole bowl to wobble slightly. It's functional enough that I won't bother replacing it, but I probably would not buy it again.

I ordered this item when it was not available at that time so it took a while for me to get it-but I was impressed at the careful packing and the product itself-very elegant looking cake set and can be used as a punch bowl too-would certainly recommend it for all hosts!
nice cake plate
I recieved this cake plate a couple weeks ago. it's very heavy and well made. it came boxed extra well. The box was inside another box surrounded by air bags. There was no way this thing was going to be broken. I am happy with my purchase.

Where can I find a star shaped wedding cake topper?
I am having a star themed wedding and I cannot find a simple star shaped cake topper. I am trying to find one that I can just order online. None of my local bridal supply shops carries anything like that. Can you please advise me where to find something? Have you looked through Christmas or holiday clearance at stores.
Plenty of star toppers. Recently at Target's in the home decor section, a 3-4 dimensional star with a pewter color frame, some with caprize shells, some just the form might work.

Couple Suing Celebrity Wedding Planner David Tutera for Ruining Their ...
Celebrity wedding planner and reality show star David Tutera is being sued by a New York couple who say they were extremely disappointed by the lack of care given to them and their Dominican wedding.
Hector Santana and Wendylee Perez say the star of “My Fair Wedding” failed to provide them with the agreed upon service after tripling the cost of parts of their wedding.
In their lawsuit, the couple stated, “Due to the defendant’s arrogant and heartless actions, plaintiffs have been harmed personally and financially.”
Perez and Santana say that they had no idea Tutera would not be joining them in the Dominican Republic for their 2010 wedding, and only learned of his absence after arriving in the country. They also say that after Tutera brought the cost of their wedding reception from $10,000 to $30,000, he failed to provide wedding basics, including invitations, a cake, a DJ, and flowers.
This is not the first time Tutera has been sued by an angry couple. In March 2011, he reached a settlement with a couple he was supposed to be planning a wedding for in Sinagapore. That case was settled out of court, but he has once again angered a pair looking to him to give them their dream wedding.
