Timeless BeautyThis book is not as detailed as his first book, Makeup Makeovers, but more of a compliment. This book focuses specifically on the Bride and Bridesmaids to create that picture-perfect look of timeless beauty for that Special Day. Stunning photographs with classic and timeless looks. A great inspiration for the novice and advance makeup artist. Get both of his books if you can afford to but if you have to choose one or the other, his first book is the best!
Disappointed
I have the author's book Makeup Makeovers, which I did like very much. However, this book is pretty much a rerun of the first. I did not learn anything new. Pictures are the same. And there are no pictures or discussion of the challenges of the mother of the bride, grandmother of the bride age group. I did learn if the bride's hair is up, the attendants hair should be down and to have the bride's lipstick in the groom's pocket. Those tips were not worth the price of the book. Buy one or the other, but you sure do not need both. I should have tried the library first.
Perfect for my wedding!
I decided to do my own makeup for my wedding. My wedding pictures turned out great. My bridesmaids and I looked wonderful! The step by step instructions were easy and a lot of it applies to everyday makeup. The photographs in the book are beautiful as well. I am able to translate that to everyday looks and that makes it useful after the wedding.

Look like yourself, enhanced. On your wedding day, you want to look like the best version of yourself. Stick to neutral, warm colors that blend into your skin and highlight your natural beauty rather than trying something you would normally never wear.
Stick with what you love. You don't have to use only the products in your makeup artist's kit. If you have a certain blush or foundation that you can't live without, bring it with you and have your professional apply it for you.
Choose a comfortable lip color. You will be reapplying your lipstick or gloss throughout the wedding day, so make sure it is something you love and feel confident using for quick touch-ups. Schedule a trial run. Plan to do a trial with your makeup artist between three and six months prior to the wedding (your face should be completely makeup-free when you arrive). Do some research ahead of time: Flip through magazines and bring a few pictures of makeup looks you like. You may want to bring your headpiece or veil, along with a photo of your wedding gown. Let your makeup artist know how you are thinking of wearing your hair, and talk with her about any ideas that may impact your overall look, such as wearing flowers in an updo. Well I'm from Pakistan, but I don't really know that much.
Whenever I see a bride from there, they have pretty clear skin, so probably use foundation and concealer. Also A LOT of eye makeup, and some lipstick with a bit of blush.

“I started going by one name 15 years ago,” Melanie said. “It differentiated me from the start, and that’s what I needed in a town full of thousands of other hair and makeup professionals.”
Since she began her career 20 years ago, Melanie has worked on more than 30 films, hundreds of commercials and thousands of print ads. Though it sounds like glamour and first-class tickets, her career is filled with long days away from home, many times in uncomfortable circumstances.
On one commercial set, she had to create the face of the Ivar’s sea captain, working on his beard, hair and makeup, all the while on a boat that was rocking to and fro. For a major motion picture, she and her crew had to arrive at 3 in the morning every day for several months as she delicately glued hair and makeup to the main actors.
