Amazing resource to help with all of your wedding planning needsThis portfolio is essential for anyone planning a wedding! It takes you from "where do I start" all the way through the minute details of planning your big day! Since I ordered the book, I have taken it with me to every meeting to record notes and make sure I am asking the right questions. The portfolio guides you through the process of planning your wedding, including extensive information about all of the decisions you will face and etiquette on how to properly handle a modern wedding. I highly recommend this book to any bride who wants keep her wedding planning organized.
Fantastic Resource!
I am absolutely loving my Wedding organizer! My fiance and I got engaged right before Christmas and the first thing I wanted was a place to keep everything together. This has been perfect! I love that it is a 3 ring binder so I can put in and take out pages as needed, and that it has pockets to place all of the loose papers. There is also a place for business cards and a plastic zip bag in the back which is quite handy. I would definitely recommend this fantastic resource!!
Planning Perfection!
Although I've only been engaged for a month, this organizer has been a dream! Reading through the timeline is a perfect starting point for those beginning the planning process. All of Mindy's suggestions are sweet and helpful, and I just love the slip pockets at the beginning of each section - just big enough to hold all your tear sheets and drawings! This is a wonderful companion to Mindy's , as well! If you're not employing the services of a wedding planner (and even if you are), this is your number one tool!

I was disappointed with this book. I didn’t learn anything new from reading this book, which was really disappointing. For the price, it’s just not thorough. There are many other books on the subject that offer the same advice and are a better value for your money. If I’d have had the chance to flip through this first I would not have spent the money on this book. Over-rated and over-priced.
This book not only helps you set up your wedding and/or event planning business, it gives you insight into the wedding business. Understanding your market is essential to starting your own business. Ms. Phillips understands this and covers it in detail. Not only did I enjoy this book, it inspired me to take her online certification course. I owned my wedding business prior to taking the course. This book and her course truly gave me insight on how to further my business. As a bonus, I can now add the accrediation of being a “Certified Wedding Planner” to my business plan....

Where can I order wedding planning books like the kind to be a wedding planner? Not too expensive though and maybe they come with a movie or something but ones that have good training in them.

“Brides-to-be can definitely bring their wedding dress through a security checkpoint,” TSA employee and occasional blog contributor Lynn Dean wrote recently on the TSA’s blog . But she said if the dress can’t lay flat in its garment bag or box and fit through the X-ray machine, TSA officers will screen the dress manually.
If that happens, “Stay calm,” said Jack Ezon, president of Ovation Vacations, a luxury-focused Virtuoso agency that plans more than 200 destination celebrations a year. “Many dresses have wires and fake jewels and other decoration that may need to be inspected. And even through TSA agents wear gloves, you can ask them to put on a fresh pair before touching your dress.”
For the flight, Ezon suggests brides book a first-class or upgraded seat to get early boarding and first pick of storage space in the overhead bins or the closets. “I’ve had brides whose dresses were so elaborate that we even booked the dress its own seat.”
