Timeless BeautyThis book is not as detailed as his first book, Makeup Makeovers, but more of a compliment. This book focuses specifically on the Bride and Bridesmaids to create that picture-perfect look of timeless beauty for that Special Day. Stunning photographs with classic and timeless looks. A great inspiration for the novice and advance makeup artist. Get both of his books if you can afford to but if you have to choose one or the other, his first book is the best!
Disappointed
I have the author's book Makeup Makeovers, which I did like very much. However, this book is pretty much a rerun of the first. I did not learn anything new. Pictures are the same. And there are no pictures or discussion of the challenges of the mother of the bride, grandmother of the bride age group. I did learn if the bride's hair is up, the attendants hair should be down and to have the bride's lipstick in the groom's pocket. Those tips were not worth the price of the book. Buy one or the other, but you sure do not need both. I should have tried the library first.
Perfect for my wedding!
I decided to do my own makeup for my wedding. My wedding pictures turned out great. My bridesmaids and I looked wonderful! The step by step instructions were easy and a lot of it applies to everyday makeup. The photographs in the book are beautiful as well. I am able to translate that to everyday looks and that makes it useful after the wedding.

How to Do Your Own Wedding Makeup | Beauty Bets
The most important step in creating a beautiful blushing bride is – blush! It’s a critical step to avoid looking washed out in photographs. ( Bobbi Brown blushes come in super-natural shades and stay put all day.) Avoid anything with shimmer as it doesn’t photograph well, and if you use a bronzer make sure it’s matte.
EYES Eyes should be as natural as possible to create a classic and timeless look. Use a beige color all over the entire lid, a taupe color in the crease, and a sweep of peach across the lid. This color combination will give the appearance of a no-makeup look. Line top and bottom rims with a soft brown pencil, like MAC Eye Kohl in Teddy .

Making the best of X-chromosome TV
When you are the only male in a house full of women, you tend to have experiences that are unique to the specific demographic of your house. Over the years, I have gained both a unique skill set and an equally unique set of life experiences. I can braid hair, apply makeup, name every My Little Pony by sight and throw a pretend tea party better than the Mad Hatter.
Not that all my life experience is based on being outnumbered by the female members of my household.
My wife and three daughters are well-rounded. They can each throw a spiral that will hit you in the numbers most of the time, knock the heck out of a 60 mph pitch at the batting cages and are right there with me in line for the most harrowing of the Six Flags' roller coasters. It is just that some weekends the myriad double-X chromosomes win out.
This past weekend, we opted just to hang out at home. The girls did their horseback-riding lesson ritual Saturday morning and then decided a break from our hectic schedules was in order.
