Preparations continue as wedding day draws closer
PREPARATIONS are continuing for a bride and groom getting ready for their big day after winning a wedding courtesy of The Press.
York couple Michelle Stannard and Adrian Elliott beat 20 other entrants in a phone vote to win the all-inclusive Win A Wedding competition complete with venue, catering, outfits and more.
As part of their ongoing preparations for the event in April, Michelle has been to visit Perfect Day Bridal in Malton , and Kuki Hair and Beauty Spa in Huntington and she was joined by Adrian to visit Visual Image Photographic Services (VIPS) in Rawcliffe .
After looking at many different styles Michelle found her dream dress in Perfect Day Bridal in Castlegate and picked out accessories to go with it.
Julie Drinkwater, owner of the shop, said: “She came in and looked at few styles, but she eventually got the to the style she was wanting and she fell in love with something.
“She looked lovely, everyone thought so.”
Meeting with Paul Eddom, of VIPS studio in Rawcliffe, the couple opted for a 50 page storybook album which will combine high-quality shots with some creative images from the day, following the moment the bride leaves home to the wedding breakfast and speeches.
